Coneflower Close Up

The common coneflower is a showy girl with vivid pink petals and a apricot heart of complex geometric patterns. As always, my garden provides the inspiration that spurs me to look beyond the commonplace. This vividly colourful work in shades of red on a field of green is done in the abstract-realist style.
